Legal disclaimer:

The app is solely a digital ordering and calculation aid (a digital notepad) for service staff. It is intended exclusively for internal process support and note-taking and does not constitute a legally recognized cash register system.

The user is obliged to independently review and comply with the tax and cash-register regulations applicable in their country. In many European countries (e.g. Germany with KassenSichV/GoBD, Austria with RKSV, France with NF525, etc.), strict rules apply to recording cash and card sales. Revenue recorded via this app must be entered manually into a certified cash register system that complies with the applicable national laws.

2. What FestHeld does

FestHeld is a digital ordering tool for service staff at festivals, beer tents, and similar events. The app helps manage tables, take orders (drinks, food), calculate open items, complete payments internally, and view simple sales statistics (e.g. daily revenue, items sold) for your own orientation. The app is designed as a pure offline tool and does not require an internet connection for its core features.

3. Principle: No data collection

FestHeld does not collect, process, or store personal data on servers of the provider or third parties. There is no server, no cloud connection, and no database outside your device to which the app sends information. The app never establishes a network connection to us or to third parties in order to transfer the data you enter.

4. Local data storage

All data you enter in FestHeld or that is created during use – table labels, menu entries, orders, open items, completed payments, and sales statistics – is stored exclusively locally in the app’s internal storage on your device (via local device storage, not in a cloud). The app does not automatically transfer this data to us or to third parties. Only if you yourself use a save, share, or import feature (e.g. exporting the menu as a file) does a file you create leave your device, or a file you choose get imported – always solely on your initiative via your device’s system features. The data is not visible to us and is not collected, evaluated, sold, or further processed by us. If you uninstall the app or delete its data via your device’s system settings, all stored information is permanently deleted. We do not keep a backup of this data.

5. No accounts, no login

Using FestHeld does not require registration, a user account, or login with an email address, phone number, or other contact details. No names, addresses, or other identifying features of users are requested or stored.

6. No tracking, no ads, no analytics

FestHeld contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics or tracking libraries (e.g. no Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no crash-reporting services), no cookies, and no other mechanisms for recognizing or profiling users. Your usage behavior is not evaluated.

7. Permissions

FestHeld does not request special device permissions (e.g. no access to camera, location, contacts, microphone, or photos). The app only uses the basic permission technically common for Android apps, which is not actively used for data transfer because the app does not establish network connections.

8. Disclosure to third parties

Because FestHeld does not collect or transfer data, there is also no disclosure of data to third parties, advertising partners, analytics services, or other companies. No transfer to countries outside the EU/EEA takes place.

9. Legal basis and legal certainty

Because we do not process personal data within the meaning of the GDPR (the app processes data exclusively locally on the user’s device, without access by the provider), a legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR for processing by us does not apply – there is simply no processing by us. Full control over the entered data remains solely with the user at all times.

10. Your rights

Because we do not store any of your data, requests for access, rectification, or erasure under Art. 15–17 GDPR are moot, as we simply hold no data.
